Brief 3 - Task 1
This is my ident for 4Kids that i made in reverse from play dough.
These are the following steps that i took to create my ident.
The first step of making the ident was designing the whole logo so that i could start taking pictures. The reason i made the logo to start off with the logo because i was editing it backwards so it was all done in reverse order. The reason i decided to film it backwards so it would be easier to create the logo because i will just have to destroy the logo instead of creating it.
The next step was to start changing the logo and taking individual photos every time something has changed. Every time a new picture was taken i had to make sure that the camera was still in the same place and that it hasn't moved while the picture was being taken. Also while i was taking picture i had to make sure that none of them where blurry because if i carried on and found out there were blurry pictures then i would have to film the whole thing all over again.
After all the pictures were taken i uploaded them to a piece of editing software called Adobe Premier Pro. This piece of software has many different features which will helped me edit the ident. Below is a full screen image of the software that i used to edit my ident.
First of all i had to upload all of my shots onto the software so that i could edit them. I had to label them so i knew which order the shots had to go in. This helped making the ident a lot faster because i didn't have to spend time looking for certain pictures. Also i imported some sound effects so that the ident would look and sound professional. Below is a screen shot of what my shots and sound effects looked like at the bottom left of the screen.
The was a large screen on the right hand side of the screen so i could see a larger view of what the shot was and this also helped organize the order of the shots and it also helped me to make the images the right size so they would fit on the screen instead of being too small or too large. Below is a screen shot of what the screen would look like to help me see me what shot i was on.
At the bottom right of the screen there is a little section to arrange you shots so they are in the order that you want them to play in. In this section you can shorten the shots, make them longer, add effects to them or even add text onto them. This is is a vital part of the software because without it you wouldn't be able to get the shots in the right order or make the ident.
There are many tools that you can use on this bit of software to change the shots and improve the ident which i was making. There was the normal arrow button to make it go back to an arrow. There is also a button to cut the shots so you can shorten them to the right size that you want. Also there is a button you can use to drag the shots about and move them to where ever you want. Finally there is a button to zoom in and out on the shot so you can see what it is or change it how far the shot is zoomed.
Overall i think my ident was a success because a was able to make it look like the play dough was moving to create the logo which was what i was aiming for. Also i was successfully able to use the software to change the size of the images so they were able to fit on the screen properly instead of them being too big or too small.
