Assignment 2: Task Five - Production Schedule Contingency Plan

Contingency Plan
Name: Jordan Fricker

Production: 4Kids Ident

Potential problems and how to overcome these problems:

If all goes wrong for filming at home then there is a possibility I could film in the school where there is none of the possible hazards of filming in my other location. The only major problem that could arise while filming in a school, but highly unlikely, is a fire starting. So therefore if the hazards of filming at my original location arise then i could film in the school because it would be easy to acess and there would be less hazards.

Assignment Brief 2: Task Five - Proposal

Pre-production planning

Proposal
Prepared by
Jordan Fricker
I propose that my advert is going to be loads of strands of play dough that start wriggling together to form the ‘4Kids’ logo. First of all the ‘4Kids’ is going to form. After the 4 will form. Then the shapes will form. Finally the outline of the logo will form and then the ident will fade into blackness. During all of this happy and cheery music will be playing in the background to try and connect happiness and fun to the channel.

Assignment brief 2: Task Four - Focus Group: Choosing the final idea

Task 4 - Focus Group: Choosing the final idea

To find out which ident would be suitable for the new channel ' 4Kids' i decided to hold a focus group to see what ident they thought would be best for the channel. The focus group was made up from 10 children between the ages of 6 to 10, this is because the target age for the channel is for 6 to 10 year olds.

To hold a successful focus group i made a small one question survey which they were asked to fill out while watching the animatic for each storyboard. On the survey was a brief description of what each ident is going to be. They were asked to choose the one which they would prefer to see on TV or what one would appeal to them more.

This is what the survey looked like:

These are the results that i got back from the focus group:

For the first idea there was 6 votes saying that they would prefer to see that on TV or that it would appeal to them more than the others.

For the second idea there was 3 votes saying that they would prefer to see that on TV or that it will appeal to them more than the others.

For the third and final idea there was only 1 vote to say that they would prefer to see that on TV or that it will appeal to them more than the others.

So in conclusion i have found out that the first idea would be more suitable for the channel because it had double more votes then any other ident that it was in competition with. So therefore the ident that will be made is the first idea.
